The atmosphere around Split Rock Resort felt vibrant and fun. I especially enjoyed the arcade. it reminded me of classic boardwalk fun with plenty of options for the kids. The breakfast at one of the on-site restaurants was tasty and reasonably priced, which kept everyone happy. I found the beds super comfy for a good night’s rest, a crucial aspect after a long day of activities. However, the pool area got overcrowded during peak times, making it less enjoyable. There were some maintenance issues too, as a few areas were dated and the furniture could definitely use an upgrade. Cleaning seemed a bit uneven. while our room was clean, some common areas didn’t have the same attention. Regardless of these hiccups, the location near the lake offered beautiful views that added to the experience. I appreciated the effort from the staff to ensure we had what we needed, but the facility itself requires some revitalization. I'd recommend it for a fun family getaway, just don't expect luxury housing.

We stayed in the Town Center Studio. The beds were super comfy, which was a nice plus after a long day. The place was clean, and I noticed they kept the essentials updated, like linens and carpets. However, we were disappointed that many amenities, like the mini-golf and the water park, were closed during our stay, which was a major reason for our trip. The room also had some maintenance issues, like a leaking jacuzzi tub, which affected our overall experience.

This impact on the pool experience was disappointing, particularly given the potential for family-friendly enjoyment.

split rock resort was a fun spot for our family! the breakfast was tasty and reasonably priced. the beds were super comfy. we loved the arcade, just like a boardwalk arcade! there's a lot for kids, and the location near the lake is beautiful. the cleanliness of the resort was impressive as they kept the essentials updated.

Nature-filled Retreat with Room for Improvement

Our stay was a mixed bag. We enjoyed the beautiful wooded surroundings and saw deer daily, which was a great plus. The amenities like the pool and game room kept the kids happy. However, our room felt outdated and needed maintenance. Ensure you pack your meals as the kitchen was minimal.

I had a great time at the resort, especially enjoying the large, clean room with a whirlpool tub after hiking. The indoor water park was fun for the kids and the mini golf was a nice challenge!

I loved being just a few steps from the indoor waterpark and a short drive to Big Boulder Mountain, which made for a fun-filled weekend of exploring and relaxation in nature. The roomy condo I stayed in had a nice balcony overlooking the woods that really added to my experience.

The lodge junior suite king had a cozy atmosphere, perfect for a family. The amenities provided were good and made our stay enjoyable.
